Misty is our Majestic office cat at the AACL in Cape Town. She spends her days lazing on the couch or lounging about on one of her many beds in the office. She loves Whiskas treats (only!) and is a sucker for head scratches and playing catch with cat toys. Behind this sweet cat is a story that always gets us a little teary eyed. When Misty was mauled by a dog about ten years ago, our theatre assistant had rushed her to hospital and returned to reception to inform her owners that she had survived this traumatic event. It was discovered that her owners were nowhere in sight and she had been abandoned. With excellent medical care, Misty made a full recovery and as they say, the rest is history. As special as all animals are to us, we knew Misty belonged here and she’s stayed with us ever since.
